Our Approach

DC Flooring Supplies is a newly established distribution warehouse in Kelowna. We have strategically combined the knowledge of professional flooring installers with a team of experienced distribution experts to pretty much make customer service superheroes!

The name DC doesn’t stand for a comic book or shoe company, or “Distribution Center”. Simply put, it stands for Dennis and Chris. We both have a flooring installation and business background, and wanted to create a company that suits installer needs and carries the best professional products for your job.

As a new store, there is no legacy to follow, but we are excited about creating one! Our goal is for this flooring supply distribution to thrive, built on the customer service, product knowledge, and quality products. Our business has been carefully designed for efficiency; to get you in and out quickly with your installation materials, and over to the job site!

Our Values:

DC Flooring Supplies LTD is committed to:

  • Distributing quality, branded flooring supplies to our customers.
  • Differentiating ourselves in the market by providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.
  • Valuing long-term relationships with suppliers and customers
  • Maintaining a vision towards the future, and leading as the industry changes and develops

Bernadette Carr
Technical Support- Customer Service Specialist

Bernadette started her career in the flooring industry in 2008 when Dennis (of DC flooring supplies Ltd) was a tile installer ready to take on his first apprentice. She took a chance in an industry that showed constant opportunity for real time problem solving and progress. In her time with DMH tiling she learned the value of loyalty to the contractors we served as well as the knowledge gained from collaborating with the other trades onsite. This work relationship gave her the experience and opportunity needed to build her own reputation as a tile installer in the Okanagan. Bernadette is an eager advocate for women in trades and feels personally invested in all of her projects working under her own company Harper Tile and Design. Admittedly, she gets “nerdy” about product specifications, technical data, and being up to date on innovative installation materials and evolving techniques. Bernadette is rarely seen without her sidekick, Penny, who has been lucky enough to be an on-site dog for 7 years. Her downtime is happily consumed by travelling to drag race events with husband Tyson and volunteering with local animal welfare groups ALERT and Paws It Forward Dog Rescue.
